He is an expert commercial forensic consultant and specialist project manager with over 30 years of experience gained as Director of Vumbulula Resources (Pty) Ltd, Associate Director of Ramathe Fivaz Forensic and Investigative Accounting (Pty) Ltd and a member of the South African Police Commercial Crime Unit. He has a Master of Science in Counter Fraud & Counter Corruption Studies from University of Portsmouth (UK).
Mark has successfully investigated most forms of commercial crime and testified in matters before the High Courts, Regional & District Magistrates Courts, arbitrations and disciplinary proceedings. He has conducted risk and fraud surveys for all manner of public and private clients who include, inter alia, various local, provincial and national government departments of transport, public works, housing, health & education, commercial and federal banking, manufacturing, mining, professional services, communications, agriculture, marine, logistics and insurance in respect of asset, commercial and fidelity claims – in many cases making substantial financial recoveries.
Mark has excellent working knowledge of both criminal and civil evidence and procedure, public finance and international corruption legislation. Mark is an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
